who are we?
Success Academy Trust is a multi academy trust providing learning for children and young people aged from 2 to 16 years, including primary and secondary schools as well as preschools. We focus on improving school performance, while building leadership and character together.
We are passionate about the power of leadership and character development to maximise life chances, to build wellbeing and confidence, and to equip our young people, whatever their background, ability, interest or need, to make a positive difference in their local community and beyond. We believe that alongside great academic results, this focus ensures that our children will grow to shape the world around them, to make it a fairer, kinder and better place to live in. We believe that our focus on Building Leadership and Character together for both children and adults makes us a special place to work and to learn.
who are our staff?
Our MAT originally grew from our learning alliance, TELA, which still exists as a collaborative community of around forty Leicestershire secondary and primary schools who collaborate to succeed at all levels, through a range of continual professional development networks, programmes and training, including our DfE accredited Steps to Success programme. We also work with the Leicester and Leicestershire Teaching School Hub to oversee national professional qualification delivery in the local area, from aspirant middle leader to executive headship.
We deliver our own homegrown leadership training and Success AT quality assurance programmes across the MAT, TELA and beyond, in addition to school to school support provided internally and externally by our Success AT School Improvement Team. This can be accessed by schools outside Success AT and TELA.
Achieve with TELA delivers high quality primary and secondary initial teacher training, and together with our TELA CPD and our #Success Together partnership groups, ensures that we have high quality and well trained teachers, leaders and support staff within all our Trust schools. All our Success AT staff have personal career plans and access talent management and leadership development as part of our TELA and Success AT staff aim; 'Growing Talent, Pursuing Excellence, Together'. Our #SuccessTogether partnership groups provide inspiration, networking, peer support, evidence-based learning and challenge.

Outcomes have improved demonstrably in each of our Trust primary, secondary and preschool provisions, using our experienced inhouse school improvement team who also provide extra school improvement support for the local authority maintained primary sector.

All of our children benefit from an entitlement to leadership and character development, as well as lots of extra opportunities within their schools, the Trust and their local community, so that they can shine brightly now and succeed in their further education and adult life later.

Our Trust has its own dedicated secondary communication and interaction SEND unit, two satellite primary and secondary special school provisions, and a fierce determination to leave no child behind.
recruit, retain and develop great teaching and support staff
Staff make the biggest difference to ethos and outcomes, and we prioritise their recruitment, growth and development, from inhouse initial teacher training, through teaching and support staff leadership development programmes, career plans for all, and a carefully planned mix of support and challenge.
collaborate through our own tela learning alliance and beyond
We lead a learning alliance of eight secondary and over twenty primary schools, who collaborate and share best practice together across a vast range of areas, ensuring we maintain a culture of collaboration, excellence and strong quality assurance to support all our Trust schools and beyond.
